Seattle Picnic: One blanket, many possibilities.

What better way is there to celebrate a holiday weekend than by heading outside with good food, good company, and good scenery? We’re lucky that Seattle has an abundance of all three. We’d love to hear about your favorite picnic spots around the city and what you consider the essentials for the perfect picnic. But first, a few recommendations of our own...
 1. Magnolia Boulevard Viewpoint
This tiny park in Magnolia is the perfect spot for two, so grab a bottle of wine and enjoy watching the sunset over the sound. You won’t need to bring any fruit if you stop at Almquist Family Vintners and pick up a bottle of their 2008 Grenache Northridge. This bottle made Seattle Magazine’s list of best Grenaches in 2011, proving that you don’t need to go far to get high quality wine.

2. Madrona Park and Beach
With a beach, picnic tables, and grills, Madrona Park and Beach has all you need if you prefer your picnics with a little heat. Round up your friends, your franks, and your Frisbees. We’ll see you there.

3. Your Living Room Floor
Raining? Throw down a blanket and stay dry with a picnic feast in your own home. Make sure you’ve stocked up on the essentials:
Carbs, cheese, and chocolate—an unbeatable combination.
